Description

Small military button used on uniforms. The Eagle is facing it the left (its right) and is a replica of the Great Seal of the US, signifiying it is most likely post-1902. Manufactured by the Horstmann company (Horstmann and Horstmann, later Horstmann Brothers, then Horstmann) which ceased operating in 1935. This type of button would have been used on the uniforms men wore, not on the coats or jackets as the buttons are far too small.
