Description

Black and white print with white border. Image of the exterior of a two-story house. Main building with four windows flanked by outdoor porches. Reverse ink handwritten inscriptions: "Gladys' birth place Buffalo Grove; Formerly St. Mary's rectory Forsyth house." Accompanying archivist note indicates that the house was "the first rectory of St. Mary's Church built in 1866. Sold and moved to east of Buffalo Grove Road when the new rectory was built in 1897. Owned by Ernest and Cecilia Weidner Brunkhorst until 1918, then by Frank and Josephine Welter until 1953, and then James Forsythe.
