Scope and Content

One (1) Firnbach and Raupp store receipt from July 23, 1920. Receipt is rectangular with black printed text and written notes in pencil. The receipt is for Joe Tudup(?), who bought two cornflakes for $0.35, two pounds (#) of powder sugar (powd sug) for $0.64, one peas for $0.18, one corn for $0.18, and three soap for $0.27. The bill total is $1.62. In addition, he brought in eight dozen (dz) eggs at $0.44 each to obtain a credit of $3.52 and salmon for a credit of $0.25. The total credit received when subtracted by his bill total is $1.65. The black text is as follows, Bought of Firnbach and Raupp; Dealers in; General Merchandise; Buffalo Grove Ill.; Sold to; Address; If there are any Errors in this Bill Return it at once; MC CASKEY ALLIANCE O. Receipt has "Pd" at the bottom. There is a red stamp of "4" towards the bottom of the receipt. Additionally, there is scribbles of math to figure out the cost of the bill on the back of the receipt.
