Description

One (1) tan and brown lady's side riding saddle. It has one wooden stirrup, seat and leg rest have stitched surface of swede with stylized floral motif, repeated on leather horn; underside of seat lined with heavy muslin; underbelly strap with metal buckle; strap with wooden stirrup. Note: possible machine stitching on seat negate 1790 date. A paper tag attached reads: "John Williams and Son, ...dlers and Harness Makers, ...TON". Paper label on other side has "WAS..." (possibly Washington?).
