Description

Black and white print with brown tones mounted to a tan board. Photographic studio logo printed on lower edge of mat under the photo. Image of Joseph Schmidt and presumably Clara Weidner. He is standing on left wearing a jacket with narrow and small lapels close to the throat, barely revealing the necktie. He has a matching boutonniere as his wife's headpiece. She is wearing a dark dress with rows of applied braids and buttons at cuffs and across the bodice, and gently bustled skirt with long white veil. reverse side has elaborate Hartley advertisement and illustration of the studio store front. Pencil inscription on upper edge: "Mr & Mrs Jospeh Schmitt."
