R.C. Gaskins deadrise; Partial View Boat Formerly, she was the F/V Herman M Krentz, built in 1922 for CAPT Hiram Coles Lewis. CAPT Lewis built 156 Reed Ave in 1906-1907 for his Bride, Miss Augusta Miller, of Baltimore. Miss Miller's father was a paint manufacturer and came to Reedville to buy fish by-products, which he uesd in making his paint. Mr. Miller would then sell the paint in Reedville so that the Watermen could paint their houses, which needed to be done often, as the smoke from the Menhadden factories turned everything in Reedville black.
