John A. Palmer prior to conversion to naval service Norfolk Navy Yard. menhaden fishing boat built 1911. SP-319 delivered to Navy 29 May 1917. Transferred to USCG sptember 10, 1919, renamed USCGC Pequod. Later sold to McNeal Edwards Factory and returned to fishing fleet as Pequod
