1888 edition of "List of Merchant Vessels of the United States", published by the Treasury Department. This edition lists the "Starry Banner" on page 330. The Starry Banner was the first steam powered fishing vessel on the Chesapeake Bay and was owned and operated by CAPT Elijah W Reed.
