Description

The "Roland Wilcox" was built in 1911 at Noank, CT; later owners were John A. Hayes, New London CT, and Consolidated Fisheries, Lewes, DE. Leased by Navy , classified at "EM Wilcox" (WYP333) and used for patrol duty off San Juan PR September 30, 1943, foundered and sank during a atorm 94 miles due east of Nags Head, NC, with one man lost 37 survivors
