Erna Dranger, #1715, gave this to her best friend, Rena Kornreich, #1716. Rena was very fastidious, and Erna knew it would comfort Rena to be able to clean her nails every day. While it says Budapest on the file, it was probably organized in the spring of 1943, before Hungarian Jews were being deported to Auschwitz and before the girls working in Kanada, sorting clothing and household items were separated from the rest of the prisoner community in 1944.
