Writing on back identifies dog and Irvin. Further research identifies Irvin as a son of William, not brother. City phone book listings for Wm. Hoth found in the 1909 book. In the 1914 phone directory the sample room carries the name Hoth and Ladwig. Haas Brewery sign dates to after 1907 when John Haas died and son Conrad John Haas changed the brewery name to Haas Brewery. Reflection in window says Witt's Grocery. Directory shows address as 222 Watson.
