In 1950, the Ripon Odd Fellows Drum and Bugle Corps started from scratch with $500 loaned to them from an Odd Fellow member. The band purchased secondhand instruments but purchased new uniforms with bright green jackets and beige pants. The director of the band was Don Prellwitz. The Corps played at several celebrations in Ripon and the surrounding area.Acquisition
