Chair belonging to David Wood (1797-1883) and Maria Vader Wood (1799-1884). The Woods came to Kenosha in 1844 and then in 1845 moved to a farm in the township of Alto, near Brandon.
Context
Donors noted that chair was brought across the country in a wagon, from New York to Wisconsin.
