Description

20" x 30" colored WW I poster on white poster board. Depicts U.S. Soldier in field with German helmets in each hand, bandaged left arm and head with rifle over shoulder. Print says "And they thought we couldn't fight". "Victory Liberty Loan". Paper poster not fully adhered to poster board. Ragged on edges, soiled including water damage in left lower corner. Has 6 irregular creases showing wear within poster. Picture is entirely legible and intact. Dates to 1917-18. Eve Faustman No. 6 written in pencil on back. Possibly the donor. 2nd copy not mounted.
