Description

7' x 5'6" hand sewn Girl Scout U.S. Bicentennial Quilt made up of red, white, and blue cotton squares with a yellow lining. Only the red and white squares are embroidered. The white squares are embroidered.signatures of a troop's members for 11 Troops including Troop 40, 37, 92, 157 & 211, Junior 204 and 188, Cadette 150, and Seniors 161 and Brownies 71, 45, 11. Most include the leader. The red squares are embroidered with the Octagon, The First Post Office, the Little White School House, The Long House, and the Signal Oak. The blue squares are not embroidered. Dated 1976. In like new condition. will be stored with quilt collection in upstairs room in Pickard House..
