Gas Mask in khaki canvas carrying case 10"h x 10" w x 2 3/4 deep. Inside case is divided to hold mask, envelope containing instructions, record of use card and tape for repairs, and c 1 1/8" x 3 1/4" metal cylinder with cap labeled "mask material for polishing" (flannel cloth and tube inside.) Used by Harold Washkoski of Ripon during WWI. All parts show use and soiled. Face of mask crumpled and stiff. Not able to open it to contour of face. Yellow paint partly worn off on can part of mask. Believe all parts included but not functional. Printing on inside of case flap says S#227882-C Simmons 1917."
