Copy of black & white photo c.1883 looking from the Square 100 block Watson east south and southwest toward 200 block Watson west and W. Fond du Lac. Ripon City Market visible at right. Question whether horse and buggy at left is Billy, Zobel's horse who could find his own way home. Zobel Bros. store was located about in front of where horse is "parked". See Ripon Commonwealth Press Centennial 1965 edition for story on Billy. 200 block building does not yet have display windows.
