Folk Art celebrates the creativity of people using items available to them to create things of beauty for their home or yard. Much of folk art reflects the cultural life of a community and brings to mind the years before industrialization of our society. Although people have made such artwork for centuries, it was not referred to as folk art until the nineteenth century. Folk Art pieces are very popular today and sell well in the antiques market.
