1 Box - Contains 2 sets of original, handwritten indexes by Belle Lawson highlighting specific buttons on cards. For Belle Lawson, every button had a story. Lawson kept detailed notes about each button in spiral notebooks. In her notebooks, she describes who owned each button, where each button came from, what it was made of, and any interesting features. Lawson realized that “button designers, in the past, were real artists, as well as marvelous craftsman.” Also contains original notes.
