Description

Lavender and white quilt Robbing Peter to Pay Paul pattern. Quilt made by quilting group which met at Lillian Steinbring's house, 610 Liberty Street (Octagon House). Per son John (aka Jack) others in the group included Mrs. Delia Zick, Mrs. Howard Durland, Mrs. Chester Whiting, and Mrs. Albright. Mrs. Steinbring had a frame and the ladies all sat around it in the dining room (library as of 2016). According to Jack quilt was made during WWII era. Lavender and white eight-petal flowers in alternating colors. Lavender back and border. White shows some staining but displayable. Another name for pattern is Hearts and Gizzards. 2017 Note: Jack said it was used on the bed in the west bedroom.
