Description

Quilt with four block pattern. Mostly pink squares with a main color of cream with cream backing. Hand quilted. Some staining and fraying of fabric. Given by Avis Mooney on July 2, 1971. Donation paperwork states that the quilt was "pieced by the girls of St. Agnes under the direction of Avis Mooney". The Mooney family moved into Ripon in 1907 and lived at 223 Scott Street. Mooney graduated from Ripon High School in 1904 and Ripon College in 1911. She was a teacher and principal at various schools. It is unknown how St. Agnes is involved as Miss Mooney is not known to have been employed at a school by that name. See Mooney obituary.
