Adamski family quilt. 1930s era. 71"x84". Assumed to be made by the women of the Adamski family: Balbina (mother), Agnes, Mary, and Gertrude. Allover Hexagon (hexi) pattern. Yellow center hexagon and 18 rings of hexagons around it. Purple edge to make the hexagon pattern square. Some brown staining and ripping. Top edge has a 10" border of the same fabric as found on the back. Back and edging fabric has blue roses, orange flowers, and green vines in a type of diamond pattern with allover small black dots. Tied on the back side with light yellow/cream colored yarn. Some staining.
Donor is daughter of Elizabeth, youngest daughter of Balbina. Sixteen children made up the Adamski family. They lived on Fenton St. See Adamski folder in Archives.Collection
