Mandolin Quintet, 1890s. First row (left to right): Bob Andersen, manager of Barnett and Andersen Lumber Co., Robert Phelps, typesetter at the Ripon Commonwealth, Al Evans, photographer who took the picture. Second row: G.E. Schulze, teacher, Edgar Zobel, a grade school student, Frank Owen, who later dropped out of group. The Mandolin Quintet were popular musicians at wedding receptions and other social functions.
