Sash and epaulets are contained in a wood triangular display case. The case has a brass label on long side of top inscribed "Thomas Harris Jr. 1820-Civil War 1862-1865-1887". The entire contents include: List of contents compiled and put together by Norma L. Tramp, Handwritten note which goes with a hand made nail (3" long, rusted), a maroon red knitted sash (82" long x 4 1/2" wide with tassels at each end of scarf, two "shoulder mounts" or epaulets. Some small stains and discoloration throughout. Epaulets are worn at edge, have metal back and gold braid metal edge with faded velour center possibly blue originally. Also included is a white linen handkerchief with "T. Harris" in ink in one corner.
