Description

Log cabin style quilt made in Ripon by Pauline Zobel (1852-1930) wife of Herman Zobel (1847-1911). Quilt is made up of pieces of Herman's suits and clothing. Possibly made around the time of his death. Some of the fabric pieces are wool. Donor says quilt was made in 1800s.

Context

Donated by Darlene Alfuso, the great-granddaughter of Herman and Pauline Zobel. Olga Zobel Hancox is the donor's grandmother.
