Print: Miller 1012 ( TK)Description
A five-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting a miller standing outside his mill surrounded by raw materials and products of the milling trade. Wert’s sense of humor is in evidence, as he includes mice in the composition (an ever-present issue in the storage and use of grains), and his exhortation to “remember the miller when you eat your bread”.
This print appears in the c.1955 brochure “Country Prints in Frames”, and the c.1955 price list paired with Country Life 1012–2 with the notation “revised”.Made/Created
