Print, Christmas: 1960 Wert Family Christmas GreetingDescription
A 1960 Wert family Christmas greeting designed and produced to mail to family, friends and other people of note.
A four-color silkscreen print on heavy tan colored cardstock depicting a winged angel singing and playing an early stringed instrument. The angel flies against a starry night sky, with the bright Christmas star beyond its trailing robe. “Gloria” begins a quote from the song “Gloria”, by William Byrd, from the Mass of Four Voices, and is continued on the angel’s belt, “in excelsis deo et in terra pax hominibus”, which translates to, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will”; see web link.Made/Created
