A Country Prints production sample retained as a a print record.
A table runner with a four-color silkscreen print on natural linen depicting thirty-four roosters and hens scattered across an imaginary farmyard. Roosters watch over their flock from the lower right and left corners. All birds are superimposed with Wert’s interpretation of calico print patterns.
This runner appears in the c.1954 brochure “Robert Darr Wert/Country Prints Kitchen Hangings”, and is listed on the Spring 1958 price list.
Edges are straight stitched and fringed.
