Description

A three-color silkscreen underglaze print on a white tile blank depicting five items of copperware set against a teal field speckled with black and white polka dots. This tile appears in the c.1955 brochure “Robert Darr Wert/Country Print Tiles”, see images. Note: image is of a cardboard tile sample. An example of this tile design has not been documented.

Tile design, silkscreen production and colored underglaze mixing performed at the Country Prints workshop, Gill, MA. Silkscreen printing, glazing, firing and finishing performed at Ceramo Studio, NYC. This tile is printed on the thicker tile body used by Country Prints/Ceramo Studio prior to 1962.
