A partial cut-and-sew chair cushion kit with a four-color silkscreen print on natural linen depicting symbols of the American Republic. Kit is missing backing fabric and instructions.
Seat cushion: four eagles inspired by appliqué quilt patterns are bordered by a furling red banner decked with blue dots and stars. At center is a five pointed star encircled by a trailing vine held in two eagles’ talons. The vine bears fruit drawn in the manner of painted tinware.
Seat back: a central eagle is drawn in the manner of calligraphy exercises. In its talons is a curving blue banner emblazoned with “LIBERTY”. At each end of the blue banner is a fruiting branch drawn in the manner of painted tinware.Three red banners with stars border the composition.Made/Created
