A four-color silkscreen print on natural linen depicting breads, wheat stalks, and the tools and implements for making bread. At bottom appears a line from the Lord’s Prayer: “Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread”, a recurrent theme in Wert’s work.
Edges are straight stitched and fringed
This table runner is listed in the 1960 Country Prints price list in two colorways (brick red or blue, with an erroneous size of 13” x 30”), and appears in the c.1960 brochure “Mat Sets by Robert Darr Wert/Country Prints”.
