Name/Title
Print: Country Scenes 516-11Description
A pair of five-color silkscreen prints on off-white linen. One print depicts buildings found in a village, the other illustrates buildings found on a farm. Both prints present the buildings as a series of overlapping architectural elevations set amongst leafy green trees.
These prints are listed in the January 1960 Country Prints price list, and appear in the c.1960 brochure “Country Prints in Frames Designed by Robert Darr Wert”. Prints were produced in a choice of antique birch or flat black frames.
A third print in this series has been identified; see photos.
The farm print is pictured in a c.1965 promotional postcard for Bromley & Co. of Boston, Massachusetts, Country Prints’ New England representative to the wholesale gift trade.Made/Created
