Description

A placemat set comprised of two silkscreen prints on natural linen depicting an early American kitchen fireplace hearth equipped with a number of cast iron and wrought iron cooking and fireplace tools. Matching napkins are printed in black and display a similar array of tools. This design is listed in the January 1960 Country Prints price list in two colorways (pine or blue), and appears in the c.1960 brochure “Mat Sets by Robert Darr Wert/Country Prints”, p.1.
