Handpainted artwork for Plowshares Christmas Greeting 926. Painted in gouache (aqua, burnt orange, black, and white) on textured tan cardstock, hand drawn pencil guidelines are evident, including the outline for the die cut window on the finished card. The final silkscreen print colors are aqua, burnt orange, black, and tan on bleached white linen, with the white of the linen taking the place of the white gouache in the artwork. The replication of color in the final silkscreen is extremely accurate to the original gouache painting.
