Print: Deerfield Houses, Dwight-Barnard Side 717-4Description
An eight-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting the side elevation of the Dwight-Barnard house in Old Deerfield Village, a historic site in Massachusetts, now known as Historic Deerfield; see web link. In the top margin of the print is a comment on continuous New England architecture, “difficult to tell where the house ends and the barn begins”. This is one of two prints produced of the Dwight-Barnard house; see images.
First produced in the late 1950’s, this print appears on a 1958 Country Prints packing slip as “717-4, Dwight-Barnard, Side, Deerfield”, and in the c.1960 brochure “Country Prints in Frames Designed by Robert Darr Wert” as one of a pair titled Deerfield Houses 616-1; see images.Made/Created
