Placemat: Bird (TK)Description
A Country Prints production sample retained as a print record.
A small breakfast or luncheon placemat set with two-color silkscreen prints on the placemat and matching napkin. Each depicts a line drawing of a bird reminiscent of Pennsylvania “Dutch” iconography. On each, the bird sits upon a blue-green border.
This set is amongst the earliest designs produced by Country Prints upon its founding in 1947.
In this example, the placemat is printed on lightweight cotton canvas with fringed edges and the napkin on cotton with hemmed edges.Made/Created
