A four-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting numerous types of breads, rolls and muffins, along with the tools to make and serve them. At the lower left and right are serving vessels, each bearing a portion of the Lord’s prayer, “GIVE US THIS DAY”, at left and “OUR DAILY BREAD”, at right. See second image for matching napkin.
This placemat set is listed in the Spring 1958 and January 1960 Country Prints price lists in two colorways (red or blue). It appears in the c.1960 brochure “Mat Sets by Robert Darr Wert/Country Prints” (with fringed edges), and “Country Prints by Robert Darr Wert and Neighbors”, c.1963 (with serged and bound edges).
Edges are serged and bound.
