A four-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting six hovering angels singing, playing a horn, and plucking stars from the sky. Intertwined with the angels is a partial Bible verse from the Christmas story, Luke 2:13, “and suddenly a multitude of the heavenly host”.
The wall hanging is finished with a folded black cardstock hanging bar and a red ribbon hanger. This item would have come with a gift tag and an envelope and was meant to be mailed or gifted as a holiday keepsake.
This Greeting Hanger is listed on the Christmas 1960 Country Prints price list. Each included a “5x6 envelope for inexpensive mailing.”
