Description

A silkscreen printed wallhanging on linen depicting decorated Christmas cookies hanging from pine boughs. At the base, a young girl in early American dress holds a lute in one hand while reaching for a cookie with the other. The cookies are representations of both the religious and secular joys of the holiday. This example descended through the Wert family and is in the collection of Kathryn Zentner.
