A five-screen/eight color silkscreen underglaze print on a white tile blank depicting three chairs (ladderback, Windsor, wing) in front of a large open hearth. The fireplace is outfitted with andirons, cooking tools and utensils. A quote from Henry David Thoreau appears on overhead beam, “I HAD THREE CHAIRS IN MY HOUSE, ONE FOR SOLITUDE, TWO FOR FRIENDSHIP, THREE FOR SOCIETY.” H. D. THOREAU”.
