This placemat set is part of a short-lived c.1959 collection titled “Craft Horizons”, a decidedly modern departure from Wert’s typical Americana themes.
Placemat: a two-color silkscreen print on heaven texture off-white linen. The pattern is comprised of rows of solid color overprinted with thin black stripes and rows of small black rectangles.
Napkin: a one-color silkscreen print on fine-weave natural linen. Pattern is stripes.
