Print: Deerfield Houses 612-18

Description

A pair of silkscreen prints on bleached off-white linen depicting a Salt Box House and the Allen House from Old Deerfield Village in Massachusetts, now known as Historic Deerfield; see web link. The houses are presented in elevation with a suggestion of lawn at the base. This pair of prints was originally produced by Country Prints in the late 1950’s. They are listed in the January 1960 Country Prints price list, and appear in the c.1960 brochure “Country Prints in Frames Designed by Robert Darr Wert”. Prints were produced in a choice of antique birch or flat black frames. These examples are bound in black adhesive tape like other known Country Prints sales samples.
