A four-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting herbs and implements for the storage and serving of herbal teas. Herbs illustrated: sweet woodruff, mint, English pennyroyal, and rosemary. Herbs in labeled containers: tansy, burnet, sage, angelica, lemon balm, bergamot, rose geranium, and costmary.
This print appears solo in the c.1955 brochure “Country Prints In Frames” as Tea Herbs 612-8, and as part of a set of three prints in the c.1960 brochure “Country Prints in Frames Designed by Robert Darr Wert” with a group item number of 612-7 (with Pot Herbs and Salad Herbs); see images.
This example was produced by Country Prints and published by the Artistic Picture Publishing Co., Inc., NYC., indicating Country Prints engaged an outside company to further distribute prints beyond their network of independent sales representatives.
