Description

A pair of four-color silkscreen prints on off-white linen depicting portraits of a man and a woman in formal dress. The man sits before a paneled wall with drapery tied back to the right. The woman sits in a spindle-back chair with a patterned panel to the right and drapery tied back to the left. This pair of prints appears in the c.1955 brochure “Country Prints in Frames”, and on a c.1955 price list with the description, “Primitive rendering of man and woman “ancestors”.” It is also listed on the Spring 1958 Country Prints price list.
