A product tag featuring the Country Prints rooster trademark. The tag is a two-color letterpress print on flecked paper typically attached to table linens for retail sales. Tag is printed on the same paper as Country Prints letterhead used in the early-to-mid-1950’s. Designed c.1948, this tag with the Northfield address was used from c.1948-1950 when the studio moved to Gill and the address on the tag was changed to reflect the move. This tag design continued in use until c.1960.
Tag interior states, “Designed and hand printed by Robert Darr Wert. Only traditional decorative art forms were used to create this contemporary interpretation”, and, “For maximum color life launder by hand in mild soap solution”.Made/Created
