Description

A two-screen/two-color silkscreen print on a white tile blank with a clear gloss overglaze. The design depicts a portion of the Christian hymn “Gloria in Excelsis Deo” in english and latin. This is one of Wert’s only known tile designs composed entirely of text. This example descended through the Wert family and is in the collection of Kathryn Zentner.
