Description

A two-color silkscreen print on a wooden box depicting a Pennsylvania “Dutch” farmer and wife each holding a tool relative to their work. The Country Prints trademark rooster stands between them. The image is flanked by Wert’s scrolled linework borders. Text reads, “robert darr wert’s ® COUNTRY PRINT NOTES hand printed on linen in the country”. This notecard box is listed in the Spring 1958 Country Prints price list. It held one dozen cards, two each of a set of six notecards. Choice of three sets: 333 Country Kitchen, 334 Country Cooking, or 335 Country Life. On the January 1960 Country Prints price list, this box is offered for two card sets: 334 Country Cooking, and 335 Country Life. 333 Country Kitchen has been eliminated.
