Tile Sample: Herb Gardens T-23

Description

A sales sample with a three-color silkscreen print on glossy cardboard depicting stylized herb plants supporting the partial lyric, “be sure to keep your garden clean, let no one take your thyme”. This tile sample was printed on cardboard to ease the burden of weight for Country Prints’ independent sales representatives. The sample was once bordered with black tape similar to that found on other known sales samples. This tile design appears in the c.1955 brochure “Robert Darr Wert/Country Print Tiles”; see images. This sample is from Country Prints’ independent west coast sales representative Ruth Gauss Flynn.
