Description

A five-color silkscreen print on off white linen depicting an early American wood fired bread oven surrounded by the many kitchen tools found in a well equipped kitchen of the day. Several forms of breads and cookies are illustrated. Items of cast and wrought iron, copperware, woodenware, painted tin, buttermolds, cookie cutters, and slipware are illustrated. This print was marketed for use as a kitchen towel, wallhanging, or table runner, and appears in the c.1953 brochure “Robert Darr Wert/Country Prints Kitchen Hangings”, and is listed on the Spring 1958 price list.
