Description

“Recipe” wall clock with a half-tone color illustration of an early American kitchen on the face. This has not been authenticated as a Wert design, but the illustration on the clock face bears strong similarities to his work. This design appears with one authenticated Wert clock and one other possible Wert clock in GE’s “Wholesale Gift Catalog/Holiday Season ‘63”; see images. Catalog description: “9. RECIPE. Colonial kitchen motif decorates the dial. Gallery top adds a finishing touch of charm. In White, Woodtone Brown, or Mint Green case. Height 5 1/4”, Width 6 1/4”. Model: 2132, Retail 5.98, Dealer Cost 3.71” Note: this example has been painted black over the original tan or wood tone brown case.
